Ciara LE walking at the NPC Bikini!

Good morning sweet things!

D got a video of me walking during the judging! 🙂 Sorry it’s sideways and this little camera that shot the video (which happens to be the ghetto camera that started this blog 🙂 ) is less than wonderful. Turn your head to the left and squint and you should be good!

Okay, so I’ll explain what’s going on a little bit for you too. Since it was such a LARGE class this year, they split 17  girls down the middle to walk up front. There were only 5 winning places so they looked at the 2 groups separately to be able to see all of us. We walk out and waited for the first group on the other side of the stage. Then my half walked out. Then we strut front and back. The judges want to see the front side and back side. That was a change for me as I’ve competed in figure before which entailed posing/flexing and quarter turns.

Also, I just want to let you know that whenever I got a little dose of nervousness back stage waiting, I looked at the comments, emails, tumblr posts/notes and facebook posts from you. You have all increased the joy in my life by millions and millions! It makes me cry when I think of you. I am so blessed by you. You all know who you are.

And to Miss Corrine Labial at FitintheCity, thank you for showing so much love to me. You have told me that you look up to me for motivation, but you, darling, have been a motivation to me since the day I first saw your post. I hope one day soon I can make the trek out to you so we can lift some weights, drink some chai, and dominate some bean burritos.

I thank God for you.

1 day out.

Just checking in quick to say hi! I feel very horrible and quite irritable. D is with me…I’m still feeling quite irritable. I’ll do my best to post one more time once we check into the hotel and before I get my second layer of orange tan 🙂 All that’s left is making it through one night, which, in all honesty, I’m SOOO excited about. I love hotels, any hotel. Obviously, maybe the circumstances could be more enjoyable, perhaps ordering pizza and drinking chai in the hotel room whilst watching some movie on the basic cable. Regardless, D and chicken breast will be more than enough ❤

He is amazing sticking by me especially the day before the show when I’m closer to a devil than an angel. He’s been driving us back and forth and all over the city to make all my appointments and pick up any last minute items. Meanwhile, I’m hallucinating and falling in and out of sleep in the passenger.  If any of you girls (or feminine males) feel like it, feel free to send him an email about how amazing he is and how much you wish he was yours 😉

ALMOST forgot to post the link to purchase tickets for the show. It’s the 23rd (this Saturday) at the Mesa location. The morning show is for you die hards who actually can sit through about 3 hours of posing routines and judging. The night show is the one I would suggest paying for. It’s glitzy and glammy. They actually set up the stage, and there’s a professional guest poser and that is also where they hand out trophys! It’s fun even if you’re not “into” body building 🙂

I’m going to do my best to keep you all updated. Chances are I’ll be communicated mainly through the ciaraLE facebook page and if I can carry this clunker of a laptop around all weekend, I’ll try to update via blog post!

To God be the glory for all He’s done, is doing, and will do. I honestly would not even be alive to lift a weight if it weren’t for His grace and love. I am so blessed to have ALL of you, seriously…whether we’ve emailed, communicated, talked or not. Even if your intentions were to hurt me, bring me down, or just spread misery…He used it for good. He used it to teach, strengthen, and grow. And I’m thankful for that.

I’m more ready than I’ll ever be to shove the bean burrito into the deepest parts of my heart and quench all the longing I’ve had for sodium and carbs.

It will be beautiful.

It will be nothing short of miraculous.

Good mid day my loves!

I’ve spent the morning watching my judge/court tv shows, eating copious amounts of eggs and cream of wheat, playing nurse to one of my poor pups who sliced his foot up, and uploading videos that have been serving no purpose posted up in my camera for the longest time.

I FINALLY had D get a video of me in the gym.  The majority of you have been asking for an ab move, some of you, for one to bust cellulite in the back of the legs and butt. 2 things before you watch:

1. This is a move I made up out of necessity since a lot of the moves I was doing for abs were not hitting where I needed. Warning: I do not recommend this for anyone who is still in the process of losing excess weight, or building core strength…this will hurt you. Remember, getting rid of that layer of fat BEFORE working ab muscles is the SMART way to go, or else you’ll get a pouch 😦 Trust me…I had it.

2. Some cellulite is natural. I have some, and I will post a photo of it after the competition when the tan isn’t hiding it. Going on some rampant mission to rid yourself of all stretch marks and cellulite is a waste of determination. If you’re really that obsessed with being perfect, contact your local plastic surgeon. As far as tightening and firming healthily and sexily ( :)), doing these wide leg squats are DEFINITELY my go to. Be careful. Don’t do it on your period. Tampons will dislodge.  lllllllmmmmffffaaaaaaaooooooo

I PROMISE I will respond to all emails/messages as soon as the competition and move are complete! Please know that I do not delay replies just for sh*ts and giggles. You all are so important to me and I want to make sure I don’t rush any responses. Be patient with me 🙂

My stats right now:

  • height: 4′ 11
  • weight: 102
  • body fat: 9.3%

To be honest, I do NOT like being this small/lean and I definitely to not advise or encourage this sort of leanness year round. Your body will snap and chances are you’ll end up building a tolerance and will not be able to lean out to maximum potential at all. I usually am only actually this lean about 1 month out of the year, the rest of the year I average 116 lbs and about 4 bean burritos a week. (hahahah for real though.)

I’ve been bottle/hand feeding our little baby rabbit every morning for the past week and it has honestly been the one thing keeping me sane.btw. If you’d like to see all these random photos and my somewhat useless yet always intriguing status updates, feel free to ‘like’ the facebook page 🙂



5 days out.

Doing my best to overcome any mental hurdles that have been popping up here and there…and everywhere. It’s been an insane eye opener to the necessity of self control. Something I lacked.

Ready to compete, whether I win/place or not.

Ready to be proud at dying to any “strength” I thought I had in my past, and falling in love with my real source of Strength that never runs out.

I feel so blessed when I think of all of you. All the encouragement, the love, the reposting, the wall posts…they all keep me going. I don’t deserve being anyone’s “inspiration” …but I am SO privileged and honored to be that for some of you. He definitely uses the weak to lead the strong- I have been blown away by the determination, self discipline, and over all strength and beauty of those of you I’ve been privileged to “talk” to, read your blogs/posts, etc.

And for those of you who have nothing but hate and harsh words towards me, it’s taught me to love even when I don’t know how. You’ve allowed me to practice forgiveness without demanding an apology. You also are a good kicker for the last 10 minutes of my cardio 🙂
